A light and mirror that brings the night sky indoors.
Inspired by the night sky and the lack of stars we can see in the city, The Sun, the Moon and Me is a free-standing light and mirror that investigates the human relationship with light. The light incorporates Richard A. Proctor’s map of stars visible to the naked eye (first hand-drawn in 1870), while the clean, round mirror represents the moon. The Sun, the Moon and Me utilises LED technology and looks to the solar source of light on earth for its inspiration. This design brings the brightest night’s sky into a personal space and offers clarity, mindfulness and comfort. The Sun, the Moon and Me was the winning entry for the 2015 Australian Furniture Design Award.
